Deep olive cabinetry, honed marble and open shelving in oak — a working kitchen designed around one very good window.
Everything in this kitchen is arranged around a single south-facing window above the sink. The run of tall cabinetry was pushed to the far wall so that the window remains the first thing you see from the hallway.
Cabinet fronts are sprayed in a deep olive that reads almost black at night and distinctly green at midday. Honed marble worktops were selected in person from a single block so the veining runs continuously across the island.
Open oak shelving replaces wall cabinets on the window wall — less storage, considerably more light.
